ABOUT US...
Craig Strike Classic Runabouts began as a twinkle in it's proprietors eye when he first flicked through a book called 'Wood through Water,' a pictorial encylopedia of the beautiful hand built mahogany powerboats of the 1940's and 1950's. A brief internet search provided all the information he needed to begin building his very own runabout.

After gaining nationally recognised accreditation in timber grading, processing and selection, Craig's interest and passion for timber soon developed into a full time custom designed furniture business, servicing local clients as well as customers from Melbourne through to Metung. As a good friend has observed, 'Craig is the Wood Whisperer - he speaks the language of timber!'
Since her launch, our first Classic Runabout "Erica" has turned heads: at Boat Festivals, on the waters around the Gippsland Lakes, the Yarra, the Noosa River, or even on the freeway being towed behind "Blackie." The smiles on peoples faces speak volumes about the growing popularity of these beautiful speedboats.
We encourage and welcome visitors to the workshop. You will be warmly greeted by our Public Relations Delegates - Beau and Josie (right).
If you have queries or even a story to tell about your experience with one of the Classic's - the Riva's, Chris Craft's, Hacker's, Garwood's, or others, we'd love to hear from you. Please don't hesitate to contact Craig on 0411 435 650 or 03 6223 5391 at any time. | |
